Halo is available to an approved home. This is not a “must sell” situation. I want a good fit for her or she will stay with me. Halo is not a tall horse (14.1hh). She has excellent big bone and feet and is strong, sure footed, and capable with balanced gaits. Halo is an excellent trail horse with a full season plus of trail miles. She rides out great by herself and in groups of various sizes. Rides in the lead, back or the middle. She has ponied another horse and been ponied with no issues. Good riding out with dogs, crosses water no problem. We have come across wild life such as bears, moose, deer, and she is unfazed. Also really good meeting quads, bikes, vehicles, etc. Halo likes sorting cows, and is good at it! We went “fun sorting” most weeks during the 2024 season, and also entered one competition. She handled the competition environment well. At the sorting evenings Halo got experience warming up and standing around with 25 other horses. Great experience for her! During the 2025 season Halo has also done some more cattle sorting, cattle pasture checks and trail riding. She is the same horse after time off and doesn’t forget anything.
Halo tends to be nervous/tense in an indoor arena; she seems to prefer doing anything and everything outdoors! Doesn’t generally spook any more inside an arena as she is well enough trained, but is not relaxed yet. It’s going to take some more time and patience for her to gain confidence and get comfortable in an indoor. Has never bucked, bolted or reared under saddle. Halo loads, trailers, ties, trims, bathes, etc. very well. She would also be an awesome horse for overnight camping trips, packing, you name it.
