REINDANCE AMARO ICONIC -[CAN]15005-
Standing at stud at Reindance Canadian Horses & Equestrian Services-USA
Born: April 02, 2021
Height: 15 hh
Iconic is a purebred, registered, golden Palomino with chrome, Canadian Horse Stallion. He’s our very own home-bred creation. The product of years of education and goals for what we wanted to produce as a stallion to represent the breed and our program. By our one and only Amaro, and out of one of our best and most cherished mares, Alix. This boy has officially not just passed my very strict, specific and high expectations, but continues to surpass them. The wait and anticipation has been 1000% worth it. This means a lot when we also still have his dad, Amaro and he has set some high standards himself. Iconic has temperament, raw talent, versatility, heart, willingness, movement, conformation, type, color/pattern and old, rare bloodlines. He has lots of body, muscling, bone, and power, put together in a beautiful elegant way with loads of presence. Very flashy, snappy, high knee and hock action. That flash is paired with a big motor lending some great reach, sit, and impulsion too! As well, he’s as smooth as can be to ride (you simply glide). He looks like he stepped straight out of a Krieghoff painting!
COMPETITION RECORD: Most notable for taking home the Reserve Champion title in L 2 of the working Equitation sport (with just four shows under his belt in his very first year showing) and coming into year two of competing, he is already being shown First Level Dressage and Schooling, and looking to move up to L3 WE.
GENETICS: Linebred with the rare and famous stallion, Lou! Plus breeding that goes way back and is one of the few in the breed that carries the cream gene. In addition to that, he inherited the dark gold color of his sire and his year round dapples. As a perk, he offers an added pattern as he is heterozygous for W20 too, which is where you have a 50% chance of getting those fancy face and possibly leg markings, such as socks or stockings. That being said, even though he is palomino, he can also throw black and bay foals (and has) with a black or bay mare. Depending on a mare’s genetics, I can also get more into what color they may throw for the resulting foal. For those that know genetics, he is ee, aa, nCr, w20, nd2,nd2. This means, depending on the mare’s genes, you can get chestnut, palomino, black, smoky black, bay, buckskin, or a double dilute if a mare also carries a cream gene.
FOALS: He also now has two years of offspring on the ground and has knocked it out of the park with what he has produced with a strong stamp of everything he is. So far he has given us a perfect foal crop for his test crop in 2024: A bay filly, a palomino colt, and a black colt. They varied in size as we expected with the paired mares and all having amazing temperaments, movement and conformation. We could not be happier with the results and are very much looking forward to the next batch. He had another two stellar foals in 2025: A stunning sorrel clone of himself and a beautiful buckskin Lusitano cross colt. Like his sire Amaro has shown us, the Canadian Horse also makes a great cross on many outside breeds (so yes we do stand our stallions to outside breeds). Why wouldn’t you want to add that great bone, muscling, hair, heart, intelligence, and temperament that they bring to the table! I am happy and proud to offer Iconic to the public so he can produce for you a perfect foal!
