Yara is a strong built elegant black mare with extremely smooth trot and canter,anybody can sit and enjoy.  She is fairly quiet but forwards and does not spook easy or any funny business when riding.  In her 1 and 2 years under saddle she went on trail rides only at age 3 and 4.  At 5 years of age I started to do a little long lining and also enjoyed bare back rides.  The last 3 years she was trained for some dressage work and I rode her in the indoor arena regularly once weekly.  She goes fairly easy in a frame w/t/c and knows rein back, some leg yielding along the kick board, walk canter walk is not quiet there yet, but mostly.  She has natural flying lead changes and has almost the collection for counter canter.  During the last 12 months, my riding time was very little and not even once a week and I think she is too young
to not do anything.

My health does give me all kinds of troubles (being over 60 years old); stopping me from doing more with my mare.  She also has had fun free jumping , but gets temperamental doing it.  I have never jumped her under saddle.

Her cycles are regular and her pedigree would also make her a good horse to breed.  There are no health problems, she was never lame or sick in the 9 years I own her.  She lives on grass and hay as well as supplements, no grain and bare foot.  Vaccines, rabies and tetanus oral from Europe and her teeth are checked regularly and hoof trims as well.  She has been in a trailer a couple time and loaded fine.  A ramp as well as a step up.

Important to me is a home with experienced horse people and a nice set up.  Our place allows the horse to go in its stall, has automatic water supply and free access to the field that is her year round pasture 24/7.  However being in a stall is not a problem for her as the breeder I got her from had stalled all horses at night and she is very happy either way.  Please contact me by phone if you have any questions at 519-371-8563 (Susanne) or email at homeo2014@gmail.com.  Asking price: $ 12,500 CAD.
