RICHER X-PRESSO CAFÉINE #14119 (NOVA SCOTIA)

PEDIGREE

Date of Birth:  August 17 2015

Height: Approximately 15.3hh

Gorgeous, 11-year-old pure-bed Canadian mare, beautifully put together, superb conformation.  Cafe had been at my barn for 5 years as a boarder, but I bought her last year.  We are getting in touch with the lady I bought her from to receive the official ownership papers.   Cafe is looking for a very specific home where she can thrive within her limitations.  She was sent for professional training last year and did well, proving she is intelligent and capable with the right handling.  However, it has become clear that she is not comfortable doing more than light riding work.  As a youngster, Cafe sustained a shoulder injury, and while she is pasture sound and happy for easy riding, anything beyond a walk or slow jog under saddle results in resistance such as crow hopping/bucking and unwillingness to move forward.  This is believed to be physical discomfort rather than a training issue although she does have opinions about going around in circles in the arena so it may just not be her thing, so she is being offered strictly as a light riding/trail horse, companion, or broodmare prospect.  She has been bred previously (the foal is not registered because it died) and she does have nicely diverse bloodlines.

She was also well started in harness when she was younger, so may be happy in cart as well.  On the trails, Cafe is brave and willing and will go through just about anything.  She’s been to the beach, in the woods, directly beside the highway (not recommended to do this but she was cool with the large transports and other vehicles passing by), and hauls out to ride great.

Cafe has a very spicy, quirky personality and absolutely requires an experienced, confident handler.  She is a big mare who can test boundaries, though she has come a very long way with training and consistency.  She does well solo or in a herd setting, but needs the fencer on or she may travel to the nearest paddock to visit with friends (steal their hay).  Despite her sass, she genuinely loves kids and adores attention.  She will only be sold to the RIGHT home that understands and respects her limitations.  She is UTD on vetting/farrier and ready to find her new people.

She is happiest living outside 24/7 and is an extremely easy keeper — truly ‘fat on air.’  She trailers, ties, and is good for the farrier, though she can occasionally be a little impatient.

Despite her sass, she genuinely loves kids and adores attention.  She will only be sold to the RIGHT home that understands and respects her limitations.  She is UTD on vetting/farrier and ready to find her new people.  Delivery available for a fee.  Asking $5000 CAD.  Videos upon request.  Please message for more information.
