Date of Birth: May 6, 2013
Ace is a 7-year old registered Canadian Gelding. I got him in October 2020 as a winter project from his original breeder and the only reason she let him go was a lack of time as she went into cows.
He was started as a 3-year old and then sat for a while. So I’ve done a total restart from the ground up, and he will be ridden regularly until sold. I’m a Buck Brannaman , Warwick Schiller fan, so that is the type of training he has had; very thorough so that he is confident and has good experiences. He would be suitable for a confident youth or a confident beginner and up.
He has no vices. He is good to worm, trailer (he goes into a 2-horse straight load) , good for the farrier, stands quietly when tied. He rides out alone, or with a group. He is not herd bound and he doesn’t race home; loose rein on the way home. He goes walk, trot and lope. He has a good stop and back up. He is starting to collect rather nice as well as side pass, and moves his front over and hind over, however he does not yet neck rein (just haven’t gotten there in training yet). Ace moves from your leg quite nicely so you can ride him one handed. He has no buck , bolt or rear. Sound, no injuries , has been vet checked, teeth done in March/20 and chiro in March (chiro exams are always part of my horse care regimen). Feet trimmed April 2/21. Ace is the classic old-style, sturdy type Canadian.
If you’re in the central AB area (he is just by Innisfail, AB), I will offer lessons thrown in. Asking $7500 CAD OBO. He is going to make someone a best friend and reliable horse! We know those photos leave much to be desired, we will get some better photos soon or please just come out and see him for yourself.
