Updated August 2025: Talented, Versatile, and Ready to Shine Canadian Gelding
Bruno is a naturally gifted young horse well-suited for dressage and loves jumping. Bruno has a solid foundation in both hunt seat and dressage, giving him unlimited potential across multiple disciplines. Dark and handsome with the canter you have dreamed of, he is sure to stand out in any show ring. He is sweet and affectionate with an “in your pocket” personality and a desire to please.
Started slowly, he has been in training since April 2024 and under saddle for a year, Bruno’s confidence and abilities continue to grow. A push ride on the flat and forward to the jumps, he responds beautifully to the aids. He is happy to be ridden on contact or a loose rein. He has developed an excellent collected trot, smooth transitions between gaits, and that amazing canter. Bruno naturally adapts to each rider, adjusting based on the rider’s level of confidence, making him a safe choice for riders at multiple levels. Brave and honest to the jump, he will safely get his rider over any jump put in front of him. He enjoys versatility in his work, easily moving from a relaxed sitting trot with no stirrups to lateral work to jumping to a bareback ride around the pasture.
An easy keeper, he thrives with regular turnout and does well either alone or in a group. With a shiny, dark seal-brown coat and long flowing tail, Bruno is a muscular 15.2hh, expected to mature to 15.3hh. He lunges, clips, bathes, has excellent ground manners, and stands well for the farrier and vet.
He is barefoot with excellent feet and is up to date on dental and vaccines. He was thoroughly vetted with X-rays before purchase and is completely sound. He has a wing to his right front movement and a small cyst on his front leg, neither of which has any impact on his abilities or function, and are non-concerning to the vets. PPEs are welcome, at the buyer’s expense.
Bruno is sweet, intelligent, and naturally inquisitive. He loves people and responds best to kindness, patience, and praise. Safe and forgiving, he is appropriate for a variety of riders. Bruno will make a great match for a novice working with a trainer, intermediate, or advanced rider. A truly special horse with endless potential.
