Friendly, outgoing, personable nature. Big, lofty, correct mover with excellent potential for the English disciplines such as dressage, eventing, jumping and working equitation. ‘Indy’ as he is affectionately called, has been handled regularly since birth. He is up to date on 5-way vaccines, de-worming and hoof trims. He is a greet you at the gate type and is easy to put a halter on. He leads, ties, loads/trailers and enjoys grooming and attention. Indy loves to work and is always eager to come out and do something.
Indy has had a wonderful and solid start under saddle. He is going nicely walk/trot/canter in the arena. He rides in the arena by himself or with other horses. Has not offered to buck, rear or bolt at all. He is such a good boy! He has also been out on a couple trail rides and did great! He has a lovely, sensible mind and did so well learning to cross the natural obstacles such as puddles, mud, fallen trees, and bush-whacking.
I am offering Indy for sale now to an approved home to someone who wishes to continue his training themselves or with the help of their personal choice in trainer/coach. I have been working very closely with Mira Warrington, Canadian Horse Breeder in BC, Canada since 2006. She is a very honest and quality breeder PLUS a gifted horse trainer. If I were to buy a younger Canadian again, to be sure it would be one handled and started by Mira. This particular red bay gelding has lovely, floaty, expressive movement and a winning temperament. She will put him out to field this summer and let him grow and then bring him back in to restart his training but he will go for a much higher price. I reached out to Mira, she has to travel into town to use her laptop. She will try to do that this evening to tell you more about Indy. She said to tell you that no, has not had x-rays done, and he is smooth going and very good minded.
