Registered yearling chestnut gelding (DOB 6/12/21). Ion is smart, confident, bold, and curious. His talents include yielding his body parts, learning tricks, and standard horsemanship things like leading and tying. He’s an athletic, catty colt (meaning he is light or quick on his feet) with nice gaits that would be suitable for any discipline. Ion appreciates challenges, hence the trick training! I think he’d like a job that requires some thinking. Working equitation comes to mind. Ion is eager for the next challenges in his life and is ready to forge new partnerships. This good looking, sturdy youngster will make someone a truly fantastic partner. His presence on my farm will be missed.
He is UTD on vaccinations. He is good for the farrier, giving each hoof nicely. Ion has not yet loaded on a trailer, but we work on things like “load up”, and he’s been sacked out, even with eyes covered, to prepare him for new adventures.
