Cache Phenom Xiss [CAN]#13487 is a lovely black Canadian mare that was born June 19, 2010.   She is out of Marv-ell Blackjack Kahlua [CAN]#8501 and sired by the talented Delavoye Heros Phenom [CAN]#10659.   Xiss is just a hair under 15 hands and weighs around 1100 lbs.   She takes up a lot of leg and is very stocky.

Xiss is an easy keeper and has no health or soundness issues.   She is up to date on vaccinations, de-worming, barefoot hoof trims, dental work, and massage/chiropractic.   She is easy to handle and is well behaved for the vet, dentist, farrier, and body-worker.   She doesn’t require sedation for ultrasound pregnancy checks and is good to vaccinate and de-worming.   She is very friendly and easy to catch, lead, trailer load, and haul.   Xiss has no known vices and has never offered to kick, bite, strike, rear, bolt, or buck.   She has great ground manners and stands quietly tied (including on cross-ties).   She tends to be lower in the pecking order in our larger herd.

Xiss is a red carrier and has been color tested as Ee/aa/nd2/nd2 so she can produce black or red based foals.   She has produced two exceptional registered Canadian babies for us – a black colt in 2021 (Kitcat Kyng Ivan) and a flashy chestnut colt in 2022 (Kitcat Kyng Journey).   Xiss caught first try both times when bred to our senior stallion via live cover.   She is a great mother who produces tons of milk.   Xiss is very protective and attentive of her foals, yet is very willing to let humans handle them.   Her colts have both been exceptionally smart, willing and trainable – there are several videos of both of her past foals available on Youtube.

Xiss just started her career as a riding horse in November, 2022 and will have completed 60 days of professional training at SR Horse Training at the end of December.   If interested, her Buyer could keep her in training for additional time at a cost of $1050.00 CAD per month.   Although she is still green, the trainers have been very impressed by her soft mind, willingness, exceptional temperament, and her lovely extended trot.   She has lovely, smooth movement and is showing a ton of potential to go in any direction – English or Western.

Xiss has a very soft mouth and is very light and responsive to cues.   She has a great whoa, solid backup, and is doing great working off leg and seat aids.   She is quiet and gentle, but also very forward (not lazy at all).   Xiss prefers to do a spectacular extended trot, but her canter is getting much better with each ride.   Xiss has been ridden in the round pen, indoor arena, outdoor arena, and on a few trail rides and she has taken it all in stride.  At this point, Xiss would be best suited to an intermediate or better rider who can help her fine tune her skills and further build her confidence.   She has shown a very strong desire to please, and has potential to make an exceptional youth mount with more hours under saddle.

Xiss will only be offered to a loving forever home and preference will be given to a buyer that will continue her training as a riding horse in addition to using her for occasional breeding.   Buyer must be willing to obtain and maintain an active membership with the Canadian Horse Breeders Association. Xiss is located near Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada and delivery within Alberta may be available for an additional fee.

Asking $10,500 CAD FIRM.   Price will go up with further training and if she hasn’t sold by early spring, we will be breeding her back and keeping her.  Serious inquires only please.  Contact via email kitcatcanadians@hotmail.com, or via Facebook – Kitcat Canadians
