Uero is a registered Canadian gelding, Canada’s National Horse breed. He is 14 years old. True to his breeding as a Canadian he has amazing conformation with thick mane and tail, good feet, and a lovely floating trot. He also exhibits the quiet calm temperament and disposition of the Canadian Horse. He loves to work and tries hard to please. He is a very easy keeper.
He is broke to ride, outside and in. Walk, trot and lope. He has free jumped 4ft, so he might make you a jumper! When he is with me, I ride him in a Billy Allen snaffle, and originally restarted him in a halter. He’ll pick you up off the fence if your leg doesn’t get quite high enough for the stirrup, he stands like a statue until you are ready to depart. He is not a plug, he is more forward than some of these bigger boys but he does have good brakes. His owner is 68 and he was able to take her around the arena at a walk and a trot in the round pen. However, Euro would do well with someone that will use him regularly. He would not do well for beginners because he has a bit more worry than would be good for a beginner, he needs his confidence built up. If you are aware of him becoming insecure, much like any other horse, you can rid him of the worry before it becomes a problem. He needs you to be the leader to instill confidence in him. If you are consistent with this him, he’ll be an excellent boy. When he is with me, I have no issues. Since October he has been living on a working farm where tractors, trucks and cows live. Over the weekend, he was in the middle of weaning 200 pairs, and he did quite well. I can and will haul to an indoor so you could try him! Also, I shall get pictures of him being ridden, but I am out by myself so is a bit tricky.
