Ganache is a very well handled filly with good ground manners. She leads, stands well for grooming and the blacksmith. Donalf Farms proudly offers Canadian filly Donalf Neirin Ganache (registration pending) to an approved home at weaning (around April 2020).
Ganache is sired by Hidden Meadow Adanac Neirin, a gentle and athletic stallion, stands 15hh. Ganache’s mom, Demi Duc Rickey, stands 15.2hh. Ganache was born in the pasture and raised naturally 24/7 with the Donalf Farm Canadian herd, including with her Sire. This calm and welcoming herd collectively teaches their foals and allows Barb and her team to handle and train the foals from their very first day. Ganache is an intelligent, confident and loving filly. Ganache quickly outgrew her older sister Gala, immediately showing us that she will be a tall, solidly-built mare with PRESENCE. Ganache also has a flashy star on her forehead that will definitely grab attention. With Neirin typically throwing height and her mother being our tallest Canadian mare, she is expected to mature at 15.3hh. Ganache has incredible movement and could be taken far in many disciplines. Her presence, athletic conformation and confident nature will make her an excellent ambassador for the breed.
Ganache’s sire, Neirin, has sired a number of high quality, accomplished Canadians, including a son competing at Prix. St. Georges Level Dressage, a daughter who is very successful driving in the US and a stunning chestnut daughter starting a career in eventing. Neirin’s father Adanac was also a refined stallion with impeccable manners. Adanac earned the Top Performance Horse Trophy at the Canadian Futurities in 2002 and numerous Senior English High Point Trophies in Florida. He was shown English, Western, Hunter, Endurance (50 mile) and Sidesaddle as well as Carriage Driving.

Donalf Farms is a breeding program born from the passion Barb Malcolm and her husband Rob Atwill have for saving Canada’s National Horse. Donalf Farms is located on the property of our sister-company Churchill Chimes Equestrian Centre in Stouffville, Ontario. Barb has over 35 years of experience with breeding, training, riding and coaching. Barb first discovered the Canadian Horse when she introduced Rolo, a Canadian gelding, to her riding school. He was quickly followed by Norton, another Canadian gelding. These two incredible horses sparked a dedicated love for the breed through their endearing character, sturdy conformation, versatile athleticism, and unparalleled work ethic.
