Trainers:  Phenom was gently started in Manitoba as a 2 year old, purchased by Julie Hickie, and then left to grow up for a couple years.  Julie is now Phenoms sole trainer and rider. He was started under saddle again in January 2008 as a 4 year old and is really going places! Learning together and learning quickly.  English - Western - Driving -- Really showing off the versatility of the Canadian Horse.

Competition Scores to Date:  Phenom started competition in spring of 2008.  He has usually placed in the top 3 of his class right from the beginning.  He has that 'Look at Me' presence.  The pair has won Adult Show High Point at numerous open shows in the past 2 years.  Their breed show wins include High Point Stallion of Show CHARMD 2008 & 2009, Overall High Point in Show CHARMD 2009, Champion Halter Horse CHHAPS 2009, & Little Iron Horse CHHAPS 2009.  They have qualified for, and are now on, Team Canadian Horse for Telus Battle of the Breeds 2009 at Spruce Meadows competing in Barrels, Trail, and Jeopardy Jumping.  Accomplishing all of this in just 2 years under saddle and harness alongside his breeding career!  A very versatile Little Iron Horse.

Competition Scores to Date:  Kelbeck has a consistent list of high scores in open Dressage, averaging between 68 and 75% throughout Training and First Level, and a long list of open and breed Performance wins in tough competition -including Hi-point Open Sr. Performance Horse - BC Sporthorse & Sportpony Show, Spring 2007, and Show Hack and Road Hack Champion Fall 2008.

Additional information:  Kelbeck is currently schooling at 2nd level. All who know him agree that he has the ability to reach FEI levels. He consistently passes his beautiful, powerful movement on to his foals.

Additional information:  I have had the pleasure of being Thomas' rider for the last 2 years - we bought him as a 3 year old and he has come on leaps and bounds! He is to me the true Canadian Horse - willing, loveable, smart and always gets everyone saying "Wow, what kind of horse is that?"! He is a great partner for me in Eventing and 2008 hopefully will be a successful year as we move up to Entry.
