ONTARIO
FRANCEL CLONE FLACHE #6887
See Pedigree
Height: 15.1hh
Date of Birth: August 23 1996
Color/Markings: Black coat, star, snip, two hind socks
Temperament: Flache is known for his outstanding temperament and
those who have met him and ridden him can attest to this. He truly embodies
the very essence of a Canadian horse; both in beauty and amenable
temperament. He's an easygoing guy, never challenges his people, obeys and
hasn't a dirty bone in his body, 100% honest horse. He is always happy. He
gives 100% during ring work, never refuses a thing asked of him no matter
how long he is being ridden - even after a year off. In a herd he is usually
at the bottom of the pecking order and he prefers geldings as pasture mates,
not crazy about mares.
I bought Flache from Pat Garland in 2005 who had bought him for driving;
because she was experiencing some health problems, she ended up selling him.
Pat owned Flache about 2 years and will answer any inquiries on him during
her ownership and had this to say about him:
'Flache is an awesome gelding, and has a solid foundation of excellent
training under him. He is a big suck and loves attention. Quite the boy, a
perfect family horse and would probably do very well in the show ring.
Flache is a gentleman and someone is going to get themselves a wonderful
horse!'
~Pat:
cosyland@explornet.com
Pat also recently witnessed his great work ethic for Lee during our photo
shoot on a 90 degree day. Flache bathes, clips, crossties, tree ties on
trails, has no problem with bugspray, etc., excellent with hooves.
In the spring, summer and fall Flache is the type of horse that can go
unridden for months and still be 'push-button'. He wakes up in the winter
and is full of energy so needs to be ridden more regularly in winter or
lunged first when he's had lots of time off. He really wants to go in the
winter months.
Training and Experience to Date:
Driving: We do not know if Flache was ever trained to drive. I contacted
Pierrette and Marcel Tremblay who owned Flache and originally trained him to
saddle, they did not train him to drive and do not know if he had received
driving training after they sold him. It is very possible though.
Jumping: Flache was trained to jump by my late riding partner, 2 years ago;
he went as high as 4ft. He enjoys jumping and is a powerful jumper. Never
refuses a jump even when tired.
Trail Riding: He's a great trail horse and good for highway riding as well
but he is not a leader by nature and does not like to lead, he can be forced
to lead but he is most at ease trail riding following a first horse. Will
walk over train tracks, wooden bridges or whatever the lead horse does. I
have cantered Flache on highways with semi-trailers whizzing by us and he
didn't flinch. However in the winter time, Flache is more reactive and
'fresh'. He gets very strong on trails when cantering and galloping amidst
other horses so I ride him on a hackamore for maximum control.
Dressage Ring Work: He is ridden in a snaffle only. Flache is very talented
at lateral work, he would do superbly in skilled hands with a skilled
dressage rider, he's sooooo willing and catches on immediately. He turns on
the forehand and haunches, he collects nicely in canter, everyone falls in
love with his rocking horse canter. His trot has lots of suspension and he
will work through his back and get on the bit; especially when I sit his
trot, he relaxes and works through his back muscles. He canters well in
circles and understands serpetines, coming up the quarter line and going
lateral to school wall. He has the basics and could do much more. He has a
superb conformation, flawless to my eye anyways.
Show Experience: Flache placed 1st in Halter class
(out of 7 geldings if memory recalls) at the CNHE in 2006. He was also
ridden at that show by Marie Lee Hammond who thought he was a wonderful
ride.
Health: Flache has always enjoyed A1 health. I had a scare a few years ago
in the autumn when he received a corneal abrasion to his left eye from a
patch of burrs that had accumulated in his forelock. His eye healed 100%.
Reason for Sale: I rode Flache a lot during my first two years of owning
him; tons of trail riding and ring work but lost interest in riding when I
lost my riding partner to cancer two winters ago. I also started up my own
business and just don't have time for my horses anymore. Flache is my most
trained horse and he is being wasted sitting here on my farm. He is such a
great ambassador for the breed.
Located in Alexandria, Ontario (1 hour west of Montreal, 1 hour east of
Ottawa). All shots-worming and farrier up to date. He has always gone
barefoot, always sound on roads and gravel roads. To approved home only,
references mandatory. Price: $6500 CDN, his new bridle-bit included (bit is
a copper D roller, 5 1/2 inches). He prefers living outdoors 24/7 to being
stalled.
Rider up on Flache: That is Lee Hutten, Pat Garland's wonderful young
horse trainer, who came out to ride Flache for our photo shoot. Lee will
answer all inquiries on exactly how she found him for his dressage work and
jumping. She also helped us groom and prep him so she got a really good feel
of his character and was quite impressed that he had not been ridden in a
year. Her email is:

Ray is a lover first and foremost (although he is the herd leader of three
geldings) he is a pure suck with the ladies. He is a right brained
introvert. Always thinking and asking. He fully trusts his humans to be the
leader. He is trained to saddle and has more whoa than go. Ray deserves
someone who will take their time with him. He doesn't ask much out of life,
but does love attention. He is stunning to look at and has stopped many
people in their tracks. Ray would make a wonderful friend to any human who
gave him the time. A gentleman with farrier and vet and very easy to deworm
(I deworm him in the paddock without a halter).

15.1h at maturity)
N’a jamais porté
trailer.
Raison de la vente : Réduction de troupeau.
Prix : 2 500 $ CAD. Possibilité de transport
Tison is a 3 year-old black gelding. He’s a sporthorse-type Canadian, tall
and slender. We expect him to finish around 15.1hh. He’s a delicate young
horse with a very good conformation and a clever and sensitive temperament.
He has a graceful look and nice promising gaits. His trot is fluid and
elegant, with already a lot of extension. Tison has a great potential under
english tack ! Tison shows a true willingness and he is progressing
very nicely in his ground work. During next fall, he will be started under
saddle. By that time, his price will increase ! The knowledge of Natural
Horsemanship would be an asset with this young horse because he can be
reactive with demands.
Tison is born in the herd and has lived outside all his life with several
other horses. He gets along very well with other horses, he is not dominant.
Tison will be sold to an advanced rider who will be able to take his time to
work with this horse full of potential. He’s perfectly sound. No vices.
Excellent hooves. Has never been shoed. Barefoot trim. Loads very easily in a
trailer.
Reason for sale: need to reduce herd

Taille/Height : ± 15 mains à maturité / ±
15 hands at maturity
N’a jamais
Prix : 2 500 $ CAD. Possibilité de transport
U-Lys is a two year-old purebred Canadian Horse. He’s a superb, strongly built
gelding with a rare chestnut coat. We expect him to finish around 15hh.
He’s born in the herd and has lived outside all his life with several other
horses. He gets along very well with other horses. U-Lys is a curious
natured horse who loves attention. Always the first to push his way to you to
get strokes ! He’s very close to humans, respectful, well mannered and easy to
handle. He has a very calm and quiet temperament and will never be the one
who’ll start a gallop in the field… Maybe too tiring !
It would really be a good buy for someone who wants a young uncomplicated horse.
He’s really cool-headed ! We expect him to be easy to train. His built and his
strength would make him a good driving prospect ! U-Lys has a splint on
the internal face of the left cannon bone, right above the fetlock. It must be
calcified because there is no pain and no lameness. Sale price had been reduced
in consequence. No vices. Excellent hooves. Has never been shoed. Barefoot

simplement renversant.

This young 1 year-old gelding is really stunning. He has a dark bay coat, a

complete confidence in humans and loves to be the center of the attraction.

be able to perform in any discipline (western, classical or driving). We
sadly have to sell him because we can’t keep them all ! Wolcan is not
registered yet. His mother has first to perform the DNA test parentage. This
test will be done soon because we want other foals like him !! Registration
fees are included in the sale price.
He’s perfectly sound. No vices. Excellent hooves. Has never been shoed.

DDN/DOB: 2007-08-15
Location: North Hatley, Quebec

WINDY COULEE KAMOURASKA STRYDR #12374
See Pedigree
Coming 4 years old this summer, Strydr is by far our most elegant, athletic
Canadian yet. He is a fancy liver colored gelding, 15.2 hh but still
growing, smooth to ride, narrow with nice withers and shoulder, and has a
very willing mind. He will be the ultimate Canadian dressage horse for any
equestrian able to take him there. Strydr also loves the trails. Started by
Brent Trout in Alberta, he spent his first two months riding across the
grasslands of Alberta's heritage Imperial Ranch getting used to wildlife,
cattle, farm machinery, bushes, wetlands and whatever the out of doors could
challenge him with.
He then was ridden by one of our French WWOOF guests, with France's Galop
Riding Program, training level 8. She is 6 feet tall, but still looks fine
onboard Strydr. Check out the video showing her riding Strydr in the ring.
Strydr is still young and needs additional experience in new places and has
now started work for the spring and summer; taking dressage lessons and will
be going to schooling shows and new arena's this spring. Properly developing
his solid foundation will get you the horse of your dreams. Strydr is
looking for a lifetime home where he can pursue his talents, compete and be
an active equine partner for a serious equestrian. He is at the point now
where you can really start to have some fun with him!

All horse care up to date. A1 health and soundness. Note: In March 2008,
while off the farm, I received a call that O'mark had jumped the fence and
had cut his right flank; my vet said to ship him to the equine hospital for
scanning for internal injuries and they would stitch him up after that. The
wound was in an area that healed quickly and there have been no after
effects, he has been cleared by my vet 100% sound. Price $4200 USD, or
best offer, a good home is the priority.
OMark's photo was chosen to represent the Canadian Horse on a commemorative
pair of stamps honouring the contributions the Canadian Horse & Newfoundland
Pony made to Canada's settlement. Photos of the beautiful stamps are shown
above. Canada Post's issue date for the stamp was May 15, 2009.

Date of Birth - née: 16 juin 2001 - June 16 2001
Height - hauteur: 15.3 mains - 15.3hh
Leon is trained to ride and drive. He has mainly done trail riding alone,
without any problems. He requires a rider with some experience because he
does not have much mileage on him, however, he does not shy and is not
spooky. Vet and farrier care up to date. No vices, no soundness issues.
Asking $3500 CAN.
Prix: $3500 CAN.

Teaspoon went as part of a
Unicorn to the Hunter Trials at Christine Allard's this summer. He competed
single, pairs and unicorn and he came home with a number of ribbons -- the
best was a 1st in unicorn -- absolutely outstanding!
Teaspoon is a beautiful bright
red bay with flowing mane and tail, this handsome boy does it all: He's been
professionally trained to drive single by the well known Randy Bird of
Cobourg, Ontario. He's trained under saddle both Western and English.
Teaspoon has beautiful gaits and smooth movement for dressage and especially
loves to jump and has cleared 3'9". He has field hunted, done parades, and
enjoys riding or driving on trails, either alone or with others, and he's as
bombproof as they come. This is an easy-going horse with great personality
and a whole lot of heart. Teaspoon loves children but is very forward and
needs a good rider.
He is an easy keeper, vetted annually and u-t-d for all vaccines, negative
Coggins, good for farrier (shod and corked all around for driving and
jumping), teeth checked and floated annually by dental vet. All records are
available. Teaspoon has great work ethic and gets bored if he is just left
at pasture, or is asked to do the same thing day in and day out. He needs to
be challenged. Teaspoon is healthy and in shape. He has solid feet, good
bone and excellent stamina. He would make an excellent competition horse and
he's a real showman. This boy struts into a show ring and spots where the
judge is sitting before you do!! $4,500.00 CDN to serious horse owner.
